ARG!?! Comments re-enabled AGAIN
(Written by kencraw)
Generally I’m quite happy with WordPress, but there’s something about my installation that constantly causes me trouble. It randomly, without permission, changes the rules for comments so that you have to be a registered user to comment a handful of times a year. Seeing as how I’m the only registered user, it means that when this happens no one can comment and I never know it because I can always comment.
Commenting is turned back on. Sorry about that.

Hi Ken, I would like to know your thoughts about this.
I am seeing so many great CAL players in the NFL: Marvin Jones breaking records, Keenan Allan becoming a star, DeSean, Lynch, Rodgers, Bishop, and the list goes on. Many of them played together and it seems like CAL was never able to put an elite team. The best was when Rodgers played as QB, and even then we could not make it over the top.
Do you think it is coaching?
I don’t think Oregon produced more talent to the NFL than CAL, and still look where they are and where we are.

There’s no doubt that Cal had a lot of talent that went to the NFL and succeeded. But I also think they had some weak spots that hurt the overall team performance. The lack of an NFL grade QB really hurt.
But there’s also no doubt in my mind that coaching of the team was a significant factor in why we had an under-performing team.
