Cal-WSU – The Photo Post
(Written by jsnell)
Here are some select photos. You can see the whole gallery on Flickr. The good folks at other Cal blogs are welcome to re-use any of my photos with attribution or a linkback to Excuse Me For My Voice.
I’m just warning you, there are a lot of photos of guys in the end zone or running toward the end zone.
Marvin Jones scored early on (above). Jeremy Ross scored on a punt return (below).
Shane Vereen also scored in the first quarter.
Jahvid Best got in the action, too.
I love this shot.
Vereen ripped off a long one later in the game.

Thanks for posting! Had a family obligation so I couldn’t make the game. With no TV replay I’m left wondering about a few things that you can’t get from the box score.
How was the kickoff coverage? Looks like Cal had plenty of real-time practice with those.
What about the defense? I don’t want to jump the gun just based on the stats & not watching the game, but that’s two weeks in a row that sub-par offenses have dialed up some big numbers on the Bears’ D. Was it a question of not pressuring because of the lopsided score, or is the D as porous as it seems at times? I guess there is still time to turn it around, but I really expected more from this unit this year. Alas, replacing three starting LBs isn’t as easy as it seems.
Nonetheless, a win is a win and we’re one step closer to bowl eligibility. Go Bears!

Cool photos!
Ken, what did you think of that Jahvid TD run out of the bunch formation? Still have some qualms with it after two TD’s in two weeks?
