Just when I think I understand things…

…Running Wolf does his best to amaze me.
SFGate.com has a short article about Running Wolf filing papers to recall Mayor Tom Bates. His complaint is that Bates is “too conservative” and is cracking down on the homeless, has too strong ties to developers and the University, including support for high-density housing.
Talk about cutting off the hand that feeds you, Running Wolf!
Let me get this straight? You’re trying to recall the Mayor who is the only reason that your precious tree-sit has continued on. Without his efforts to have the city bank-roll this lawsuit and get around the posting of a bond, money you and your cadre of protestors could NEVER raise, those trees would have been cut down 9 months ago. But nope, that’s not good enough, is it? It’s not good enough that he refused to settle with the University despite significant concessions. He’s still in bed with the University as far as you’re concerned, right?
Let me put this to you, Running Wolf, in words simple enough for you to understand:
YOU’RE A COMPLETE CRACKPOT IDIOT!
Unbelievable.

And here I thought this blog was family friendly. Some of the language here seems more akin to the California Golden Blogs or, dare I say it, TheBandIsOutOnTheField, your brethren in Starkey.

No doubt he’s certifiable… but why are we hating him… I’m starting to like him more and more… in fact I’m starting to love this guy… he works for us now!!! He’s one of the best PR tools we have!!!
Long live Running Wolf!!!
Long live Dorrell!!!

TwistNHook, it depends on the family.
And I believe I saw Ken’s brother swear in a comment the other day.
What is this world coming to…

How did I know that the one time I censored Twist, he’d never let me live it down? 🙂 Twist’s comments always bring a smile to my face.
For what it’s worth Twist, I’ve been much more happy with Band’s content lately. In fact I’ve wondered if Barry’s lack of presence lately had something to do with the site owners telling him to cool it down, language wise.

I’m pretty sure that when I have kids I’ll have to change over all my swear words, too. It’ll be like “FUDGE TICKLES!” “WHAT THE DOODLE ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???” “AYOOB YOU!” I hope I haven’t already used this bit here.
I am very happy with The Band’s content recently. They are posting at a much more regular clip. They have actual analysis. It’s becoming less and less INCREDIBLY negative. Their post with the photo pretending to be doing the touchback was funny. As hard as we all work to make our blogs as good as possible, they have the SportsNation behind them. So, they are going to be the Cal blog that many non-fans go to first.
Them being as good as possible is in all of our best interest. Independent of the fact that we all want the most vibrant Bearosphere as possible, they have a little bit more importance. Up until we stage a coup and take over the SportsNation site. CheNHook, they call me. Viva La Marshawn!

TBIOOTF, GoldenBlogs, EMFMV, RBBID, etc…All of you guys (and gals? are there any women bloggers on any of these sites?) are to be commended for creating a very vibrant Cal blogosphere. Lots of different approaches, attitudes, and voices–kind of like Cal itself!
As for RunningWolf, this is what Bates gets for his treason against the University. I’m sure the recall will go nowhere but it’s got to be a headache. On a somewhat related note, if I lived in the COB I’d be irate that the city is wasting precious dollars on this lawsuit.

Why doesn’t the govenment give some land up in Modoc County to this idiot, he can then open up an Indian casino and hire his homeless friends as bar maidens. Works for me!

This is the first Heisman talk I have read for Nate Longshore:
This weekend’s game against Oregon State will give Longshore another opportunity to show his leadership and bolster a potential run at the Heisman.

They also say he’ll be at or close to 100% for Saturday.

Do as I am doing. Stop shopping in the City of Berkley on game day. See what Mayor Bates and Running Wolf think of more empty storefronts on Telegraph and University Ave.
