ASU OTRH Podcast
(Written by kencraw)
Here’s the year’s final installment of the On The Road Home podcast. Thinking over what I said, I probably was a bit too harsh on the offensive line. They did a VERY good job of pass protection against a difficult blitzing ASU defense. Where my mind was as I was recording this was the lack of a consistent run game, something that has plagued the team all year.
Since I don’t see myself going to the bowl game, this will be the last installment of the 2015 season. I’m always interested to hear if people enjoy them, so consider this post your opportunity to say you’d like me to keep doing this in future seasons or if you couldn’t care less.

Ken, I enjoy reading your blog, and those of others, but I somehow never got into podcasts. Maybe my commute is too short. I will try to give this one a listen.
I hope you stick around in the coming seasons. As you’ve noticed, CGB and other sites sometimes get completely crazy, so you’re my voice of reason.

The blog will continue as long as I enjoy it, which I still do, and I don’t see that changing. A few years ago, as my readership numbers were dwindling, I had to have a heart to heart with myself about what my motivations were for doing it. When I finally decided I was doing it for my own need to express what I was thinking about Cal, it no longer mattered if I had a big readership (not that I wouldn’t enjoy that).
So the blog is not going anywhere.
The podcast, well, that I could see myself giving up. In some ways I enjoy doing it, but there are aspects of it that are a pain (particularly the publishing process) that would make me want to give it up. However, I’m still getting surprisingly strong statistics for the podcast.

Ken, count me in as a reader and a listener. Love the recaps and analysis. And I enjoy the difference in perspective from immediately after the game, and after you’ve had a day or 2 to digest everything.
Thanks for another great season of commentary.

Thanks Mark. I was wondering if it was as obvious to others as it is to me that my perspective had changed between the OTRH podcast and my post-game posts, which are often a couple days later.

I love the podcasts and have looked forward to very one for years. I vote keep it up! Just the sound if Starkey, Willie and Bill Murray gets my blood pumping every time.
