USC OTRH Podcast

OK, I realize this is *RIDICULOUSLY* late, but I figured I’d publish it anyway. I recorded it on the drive home from LA and I had a lot of things that needed to be edited out (kids with questions for their dad, etc.) and so it took me longer than usual to find the time to do it. In any case, I hope people enjoy it, despite its lateness:

Thanks for the interesting if late commentary.
I remember when the stadium was remodeled to remove the track and install more seats. Looked it up–that was in 1993. I hadn’t realized that the field was lowered and therefore wetter. But you’d think that everyone who plays Pac12 football would know that by now?

You’d think they know, but check out this sequence. First watch the far side receiver/defense on this play and how the DB slips:

then watch the TD later on the same drive where although he doesn’t slip, you can see how the DB doesn’t have good coverage and it looks to me like he’s a bit unwilling to keep as deep for fear than the WR cuts back like on the above play and he has trouble with his footing:

And as you’re watching those plays, notice how many grass divots are on the field. 49:42 for instance shows it well.
