What Happens in Reno, Stays in Reno (EMFMV 2010 #4)
(Written by jsnell)
Sorting through the ashes of Nevada and looking forward(?) to Arizona, it’s the latest EMFMV podcast with Jason and Ken! We come to grips with Cal’s loss to Nevada. But there’s hope! We are both optimistic that there’s definitely a chance Cal might win in Arizona. And what’s being a Cal fan about, other than hope in the face of long odds? We also talk the Pac-10, Ken shows his optimism for the rest of Cal’s season, we cheer the soon-arriving Pac-12 conference, and discuss whether or not Jeff Tedford should be fired. (Spoiler alert: Not.) Plus the secret word turns into a math problem. Please listen, won’t you?

I wonder if we can get any attractive teams to come and play us next year by dangling the fact that we’d actually be in San Francisco. I’m sure plenty of players would love to have an opportunity to frolic in the City.
I like the optimistic thinking as to our Oregon strategy, waiting for a player to break his leg. But why stop there? Might as well have two players break their legs, two is always better than one! Heck with it, let’s just hope the NCAA gods suddenly descend upon Oregon the day before our game and declare the entire two-deep ineligible. Kidding aside (or am I), I am really interested in their ASU matchup tomorrow as it should tell us a lot about their true offensive capability.
Lastly, a lot of people are drawing comparisons between the Nevada loss and last year’s debacle at Oregon. I definitely have a different feeling between the two. To illustrate…
Nevada made me: :-
Oregon made me: ><
(and add on the fact that I joined the Oregon game at halftime, having just finished taking the LSAT and being mentally and emotionally drained)
Go Go Golden Bears!
