Cal in the polls
(Written by kencraw)
I’m surprised how quick this happened, but the dominating performance of the Bears got the Bears into the Coaches poll at #24. We’re also a virtual #29 in the AP. That means that if the Bears can go to Nevada and win, there’s a good chance the trip to Arizona will be between two ranked teams.
The old Bear in me has only one thing to say about that: expectations are back and we’re doomed! DOOOOOOMed!

But if Arizona beats Iowa, they will be ranked higher then us and we will be the underdog, so no expectations? I can only hope.

I have strong doubts Arizona will beat Iowa next week. Sure, they’ve looked fantastic thus far, but against Toledo and The Citadel?! Arizona will be presented with a monumental challenge with Iowa.
Meanwhile, while I am by no means calling Nevada a gimme (hardly!), I know we are the better team, on offense, defense and special teams. It will be a nice step up in competition to get us prepared for the Pac-10 slate.

I blame myself for picking up Justin Forsett in my fantasy football league.
